Ampliroll Product Spotlight: Virginia County Takes Delivery of Two New Hook Loader-based Water Trucks
Located across the Potomac River from the nation’s capital, Arlington County, Virginia recently acquired two new hook-loader based water trucks. They join the county’s fleet of hook-loader equipment which includes chipper bodies, dump bodies and flat beds.
Sourced to the county as a matching hooklift system/body “package,” each new truck was equipped with an Ampliroll Water Tanker Body as well as an Ampliroll Hooklift System — both of which are manufactured by Marrel.
With Ampliroll Hooklift Systems, multiple bodies can work on a single truck chassis. This efficiency can bring significant savings to municipalities and contractors. By matching Ampliroll Water Tanker Bodies to their new trucks, Arlington County also gained the speed and convenience of working with a single manufacturer for after-sales service.
Marrel is the only hooklift system maker to offer its own brand of matching truck bodies. Cities, counties and contractors across the U.S. recognize the advantages of acquiring both hook loaders and associated equipment as a package. As a result, they specify not only Ampliroll Hooklift Systems, but also Ampliroll Bodies. These include aerial devices, chipper bodies, cranes, water tankers and other equipment.
The Ampliroll-equipped trucks were sourced to Arlington County, by Representative Dennis Velez of Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Ampliroll Hooklift Systems are manufactured by Marrel – the inventor of hooklifts in 1969 and first again in bringing them to users across the U.S. in 1980. Today, Ampliroll is the nation’s leading provider of hooklift systems.
